In the beginning...

As a passionate graduate with a BA in English Translation and Interpreting from Izmir University of Economics, I have specialized in various fields from localization and subtitling to legal and audio-visual translation to build a strong foundation in both academic and practical aspects of translation. I have also taken four years of French and two years of Spanish classes during my studies.

I have been working as a freelance translator in different fields, mostly in localization and subtitling sectors. However, I have been working for individuals in various sectors as well. Thanks to my volunteering experiences, I both had the chance to improve my translation skills and developed strong leadership and mentorship abilities.

In terms of technical skills, I am familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. I am also interested in computer programming, leading me to learn more about Python and R for further educational purposes. I am familiar with various CAT Tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, etc. With an extensive skill set of translation practices and a proven track record of success, I am well-prepared to contribute to any language service team!
